Hudson NOW Fund

This unrestricted fund allows donors to collectively meet immediate and changing needs in the Hudson community. The Hudson Community Foundation’s Board of Directors is utilized to determine how best these funds can serve the current needs of the community.

 

Arts & Culture Fund

Acknowledging the importance of arts and culture in the life of each individual, the Hudson Community Foundation promotes and supports organizations and events which further these opportunities for the citizens of Hudson.

 

Historical and Environmental Preservation Fund

The Hudson Community Foundation embraces Hudson’s rich history and believes it is critical to maintain its character and heritage.  Fostering an attitude of environmental responsibility will ensure community resources are preserved.  Both areas will allow future generations to enjoy Hudson as we do today.

Historic Hudson Fire Detection System Fund

This fund is designated at Hudson Community Foundation to support the fundraising efforts of the North Main Street Fire Detection System Committee to raise money to install wireless fire detection systems inside two dozen or so unprotected buildings in the city’s historic downtown shopping area to reduce the widespread damage by optimizing the Hudson Fire Department’s response time for the preservation of historic buildings susceptible to fire by the installation of fire prevention system

 

Hudson City Schools Student Assistance Endowment Fund

This is a designated fund at Hudson Community Foundation created to provide ongoing financial support to economically disadvantaged students with specific ancillary items that may be necessary to function at school on a daily basis.

 

Hudson Community Service Association Holiday Lighting Endowment Fund

This fund's purpose is to provide long term support for the Hudson Community Service Association's Holiday Lighting program.The Holiday Lighting Fund continues the tradition of Hudson Community Service Association lighting the green and downtown area during the holiday season.  Read more

 

Hudson Food Pantry Fund

This fund was established by The Vaillancourt's, a Hudson family, to support the Hudson Food Pantry and those families and individuals who rely on its services.

 

Hudson Forever Endowment Fund

This fund’s purpose is to provide long term charitable giving to the Hudson community by making annual grant distributions forever.    It is the growth of this fund that ensures that the Hudson Community Foundation will have unrestricted resources available to address current needs as well as those unforeseen in the future.

 

Hudson Garden Club Fund

Hudson Garden Club is dedicated to spreading the knowledge and love of gardening, the beautification of public property and the support of education in horticultural and related fields.

 

Hudson Players Endowment Fund

This fund has been established for the purpose of supporting the Hudson Players mission of creating and supporting quality theater for Hudson and its surrounding communities.  Read more about the Hudson Players Endowment Fund.

 

Hudson Prevention & Addiction Resource Fund

Established to address current and future drug and alcohol awareness needs in the community.  Currently funding the Drug Safe Hudson and Drug Free Clubs of America.  Drug Safe Hudson was developed to enhance drug and alcohol awareness, reduce stigma and improve opportunities for assistance to Hudson residents who have been affected by drug and alcohol use. Drug Safe Hudson serves as the community resource dedicated to the needs of those living, working and going to school in Hudson.
 

Hudson Senior Community Support Network

The Hudson Senior Community Support Network is caring group of volunteers created to support local Hudson residents as they age by encouraging social connections, promoting healthy, vibrant and meaningful living opportunities.

State of Mind: Hudson

The purpose of State of Mind: Hudson is to increase the awareness of and reduce the stigma associated with mental health issues in the Hudson Community. State of Mind: Hudson achieves its purpose through providing at least one scholarship per year and hosting annual events throughout the community.

Music from The Western Reserve Endowment Fund

This fund's purpose is to provide support to Music from The Western Reserve to carry out its role and mission.

Seton Catholic School Tuition Assistance Endowment Fund

This fund was established in 2013 by a generous anonymous donor to provide charitable distributions to Seton Catholic School for financial aid and tuition assistance to families in need.

Social Services Fund

A community entails citizens at both ends of the financial spectrum.  The Hudson Community Foundation is committed to supporting all citizens through its philanthropic channels. This fund was created to help meet human services activities conducted as needed by non-profit organizations located in or directly serving the Hudson community

Youth, Education & Recreation Fund

Investing in our youth helps develop the leaders of tomorrow.  The Hudson Community Foundation supports opportunities and experiences that promote the building of important developmental assets and valuable relationships for our local youth.
 

Fireworks Endowment Fund

Responding to a community survey indicating that the fireworks display in celebration of Independence Day is one of Hudson’s most treasured community events, this fund ensures its enjoyment in perpetuity. 

Baldwin-Buss House Foundation

The Mission of the Baldwin-Buss House Foundation is to ensure the acquisition, proper restoration, redevelopment and maintenance of the 1825 house and adjacent property principally located at 36 North Main Street in Hudson, OH

Memorial Funds:

Caroline Kramer Faust Foundation

In honor and memory of Caroline, the Caroline Kramer Faust Foundation was established to be used to fund causes that Caroline loved (art, nature, school, animals).  The family thanks you for all the love and support shown and for helping further Caroline's interests for her.
 

Kathy Miceli Memorial Scholarship Fund

In memory of Kathryn (Manos) Miceli, “Kathy", the Kathryn Miceli Memorial Scholarship has been established which encourages Hudson youth to pursue Kathy’s love of education and mathematics.  Kathy will forever be missed by many family members, friends, colleagues and former students.
 

George E. Gessner Memorial Scholarship Fund

In memory of George E. Gessner, the George E. Gessner Memorial Scholarship has been established to aid Lakeview cross county athletes in their pursuit of higher education. 
 

Scott Lee Memorial Scholarship Fund

In memory of Scott Lee, the Scott Lee Memorial Scholarship has been established to assist Hudson High School seniors pursuing a college major in the area of law enforcement, forensics or criminal justice.
