Shawn Lyden

Shawn Lyden is Executive Vice President at Akron Children’s Hospital.  Shawn has been an executive at Akron Children’s for nine years and currently has responsibility for strategic planning and business development, public relations and marketing, external affairs, the Rebecca D. Considine Research Institute, legal affairs, diversity & inclusion, and patient experience innovation. Shawn currently serves on the Boards of Directors of LifeBanc, the Conservancy for Cuyahoga Valley National Park, and the Ohio Children’s Hospital Association and also volunteers at Akron Children’s as a member of the Doggie Brigade with his Newfoundland, Maya.  Shawn obtained his B.A. in economics, Magna Cum Laude, from Denison University, and his law degree from the Case Western Reserve University School of Law. A native of Ohio, Shawn and his wife Amy have lived in Hudson for eight years and have four children, Alexis, Austin, Molly and Jack, and one grandchild, Palmer.
