Stephen Robert Sogan passed away in Denver, Colorado on August 25th, 2020.  He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 19 years, Sarah, his son, Avery, his daughter, Mary, by his parents Ed and Mary (Linder) Sogan, his sister Beth (John), his nephews Tyler and Gavin Ginther, in addition to many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Steve attended Hudson High School from 1989-1993. A three sport athlete, he was inducted into the Hudson High School Athletic Hall of Fame in 2016. Athletically, he always gave 100% and was named Male Athlete of the Year in 1993. Many of his teammates have remained close friends throughout his life. Steve graduated from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio in 1997, where he majored in business. After working at Xerox in Cleveland, Ohio post-graduation, Steve and his then fiancee, Sarah, moved to Colorado in 2000. They were married in 2001, and moved to Evergreen, CO where they have resided with their children, Avery (13) and Mary Prudence (11) for the past 15 years.

Steve excelled in his position as Director of Business Development during his career with Sepialine, a software development company based in San Francisco, CA. He made life-long friendships with the people with whom he worked. Steve served the Evergreen community as an assistant coach for the Evergreen High School wrestling team. His energy and enthusiasm have been instrumental to the successes with the EHS wrestling community. Coach Steve was a positive role model for the EHS wrestlers and a good friend of his fellow coaches. Steve loved skiing, live music, following Phish, and enjoying many road-trip adventures with friends and family. Steve loved the Cleveland Indians and the Browns. He loved being outside in any season, mountain biking, camping, hiking, backpacking and fishing. Steve was a patient teacher, and thanks to him, his family has been able to experience so many amazing activities that living in the Rocky Mountains allows.

Steve was quick to smile and his energy could light up the room. He made conversations feel easy, took a genuine interest in others and made people feel welcome and at ease. He was one-of-a-kind, and will be missed ferociously by those who knew him best.
